I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at ALDI (Manchester, England) in Oct 2014
Interview
First you'll get a group/individual (dependent on number of interviewees) with the area manager. He/She will ask a few questions based on application/CV, then ask a few questions about you and your homelife. the area manager then photocopies your P60 and informs you that you have a second interview with your potential store manager.
Your second interview with the store manager will start with a few basic questions while he tries to build a rapport with you. He gives you all the literature and a numeracy test. The interview ends with a work trial where you have to work a pallet/cage in your best clothes!! The store manager usually gets in touch with you within 24 hours and gets you back in store to sign your contract and other forms needed for your employment. You will then receive your uniform and that's it. Welcome to hell!!!
The whole experience was horrible from start to finish first I received a email saying that they wanted me to attend a individual assessment then the same day I got a email saying that there was no vacancies so I phoned up the recruitment team and they said I still had a interview and the email was sent in error attended my interview with the area manager at 10pm on the Sunday he said it's really early and made me feel like it was my fault I only went with the time they gave me interview was alright then he said I'll get a email saying if I was successful or not he didn't seem interested in me at all after waiting a few weeks I decided to phone up the recruitment team again and they had told me that I was unsuccessful I asked why I hadn't gotten a email they said we don't deal with it after interview has been arranged avoid applying for this at costs
I applied online. I interviewed at ALDI (Burton, East Midlands, England) in Feb 2016
Interview
Very calm relaxed. Met Lloyd the area manager had 25 mins of talking with role play and general questions. Did a math test and was told I'd receive an email with the result of the interview. I got an email 5 hours later and now have a trial in 5 days. Looking forward to it.
