I applied online. I interviewed at ALDI (Blackpool, England) in Jun 2015
Interview
I applied online and received an email to schedule the interview within 2-3 weeks. Interview was short and mainly about myself and my work history. They tested a couple of scenarios followed by a quick and simple maths test which was timed. Received an email within a few hours to book store experience. Store experience lasted just under 2 hours. There was another applicant and the store deputy manager. We started of with a sheet of paper ticking our availability, a few maths questions and describing ourselves with 3 words. Then we went on to quick introductions, heard about the company and had to do some basic health and safety. We were showed around the warehouse and shop floor where everything was explained. Then we split up with another deputy manager and did a quick task tidying up some shelves. It was very easy going and the people were very friendly and welcoming. I wasn't sure what to wear for the store experience so opted for smart casual which was fully appropriate as it wasn't an interview but more of an induction

I applied online. I interviewed at ALDI (Navan) in Apr 2015
Interview
Very thorough. 3 rounds of interviews to go through but was made feel very comfortable throughout.
1) group interview. Only 3 people in my group and we were asked to do a survival scenario within our group and just briefly had to talk about ourselves. Very easy going and not overly formal at all
2) the one to one interview with the area manager. Was a little more formal but only asked about previous experience and a little bit about myself. Once again, I was made to feel very comfortable and relaxed in it.
3) the work trial. This was when I was asked to come in for an hour early in the morning and just had to help stock shelves and was rated on my performance.
A few hours later, I was offered the job.
