No HR department resulting in very direct recruiting and quick hiring decisions. On campus interview, then invitation to ddivisioal office to tour warehouse and a store.
I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI (Olathe, KS) in Nov 2013
Interview
Interviewed at an MBA national job conference. 1:1 30 minute interview, standard behavioral questions. Found out a couple weeks later they wanted to fly me out to Kansas for final round interviews and take a personality test online. Flew out to Kansas, had a math/grammar test and three 30 minute interviews with directors. Also did a tour of the distribution center there and visited a local store. Received a letter a few days later saying I didn't get the job.

Question 1
Why me? Why Aldi? Would seeing an employee steal a candy bar constitute an automatic termination? What else would? What's the hardest decision you made in your life?

Interview
Applied online and was told to attend a presentation dinner. Learned about the company, job, expectations, etc. only a twenty minute interview the next morning. I was only asked two questions, how should you treat employees and what do you do if you catch a worker stealing. Was not asked for any other information and interview was done in ten minutes.

Question 1
I can't believe there wasn't more asked at the interview. Seems like a pretty arbitrary way to hire.
