I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI in Mar 2019
Interview
I completed the online assessment in March 2019 and got offered to come to a group assessment for 60 minutes.
Turned up at Aldi and asked the checkout guy where to go, he was kind and showed me to the staffroom. A few minutes later the other two candidates arrived underdressed which made me in a suit feel a little uncomfortable but its always best to dress appropriately.
The Area Manager comes in, gives us some info about Aldi for around 5 minutes then asks us to tell us a little about ourselves. I was last and the other two went first and were very brief, mine lasted a little longer but felt uncomfortable again as the others were short and sweet. After this, we asked a couple of questions and that was it.
Just do a one-on-one 10-15 minute interview, it lets people be themselves a little more and this was an absolute joke!
Prep time, driving time and money wasted, what a complete shambles and waste of peoples time. I won't be applying with Aldi again.
