Question 1
Décrivez nous une situation dans laquelle vous avez dépassé les objectifs qui vous ont été fixés.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Amazon (San José, ) in Oct 2014
Interview
you show up with our documents, do a test on a computer, they test grammar, comprehension, listening, composition.
The test lasts about hour and 30 minutes, you need to go relaxed and early so you get an offer the same day
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Aug 2017
Interview
An Amazon recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn. Several phone interviews (and several months) later I had an onsite interview in Seattle. The in-person interview process is well-documented. This will require preparation on the part of the interviewee to perform well as it's peculiar. Do your homework! The in-person interview consisted of 6 hour-long interviews with leaders within and outside the area I was interviewing for. I also had lunch with a senior and experienced Amazon employee who wasn't part of the formal interview process and wouldn't be giving feedback to the interview team - this was a great opportunity to ask questions about what is was like to work in that area. Also, remember that things change quickly at Amazon and because the company is focused on culture-fit you may find yourself receiving an offer for a different position than you interviewed for! Don't be surprised if that happens - there's lots of opportunity here at Amazon and leaders spending time here will likely move through many different roles.
There's also a writing component of the interview - you'll be asked to prepare a 3-5 page written report. Writing is very important here at Amazon. Showcase your best (business writing) work here.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
At the on-site interview each of the interviewers asked a question aligned with one of the Amazon Leadership Principles. Hardly any of the interview was spent on technical skills (maybe this was because of my bona fides in my discipline).
