Question 1
Most of the interview was geared towards understanding one's leadership qualities and how well they are aligned to Amazon's culture/principles.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon (Hyderabad)
Interview
They did eight rounds and gave irrelevant feedback, after six months I reapplied they did one round and rejected me with a feedback which was not even discussed in the interview. Waste of time... something really fishy going on here...I don't believe this company any more. The tech panel is biased for resumes through some recruiter I suspect.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (New York, NY) in Oct 2013
Interview
Applied online and then received an email to do a phone screen. Went on to have phone interviews with two different people, quite a bit of scenario based questions around project situations. Based mostly on resume content, but also some scenarios specific to the role. There were also some technical questions in the interview. Many of them were related to scale and testing.
