I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (New York, NY) in Nov 2019
Interview
Received an email from the recruiter to do a phone interview. This took about a week. Then after the phone interview it was decided I was moving forward. While in process of scheduling my final interview schedule, I received an email from my recruiter stating that some was internally hired for the role I was going to finish my interview schedule. This tipped my overall view of the interview. Why bother interviewing if you want to fill the role internally? Or why not give me the chance to do my final interview as schedule. Since then, there hasn't been any efforts to give me another chance since this was a mishap on their end. This is not living up to the leadership principles that has been set in place. A disappointing experience.

Typical Amazon situational questions. Tell me about a time a project didn't go as planned.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (London, England) in Nov 2019
Interview
Recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn, scheduled a call and then scheduled first screening call with an employee at Amazon. I was then scheduled for 4 round of final interviews with different hiring managers hiring for different roles.
The over all experience was really bad. Recruiters at Amazon really do not care about candidate's time at all. For my final round I was given a particular date that I had to interview (not even asked) . I was not given which role I was inteviewing for or the interviewer panel or even the schedule and at the day of the interview the recruiter just called me and said it would be scheduled next week, Again, I didnt receive schedule, roles and interviewers till day before the interview. Follow ups do not work at all, they contact you when it is convenient for them . They will not give you a timeline on getting back with respnse and if they do they do not stick to it. I am stil waiting to hear back although I was given a deadline. This is not the first time I interviewed with Amazon, I had negative experience before and declined the role. I thought it was one off incident but looks like recruiting culture at Amazon is just horrendous.
When you talk to Hiring Managers they do get you excited for the role and opporunties that you will get at Amazon but the whole process is a big red flag.

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Toronto, ON) in Nov 2019
Interview
I had three phone interviews and then the “loop”, which was 5 back-to- back interviews onsite. I was first contacted at the end of September and was offered mid November, so quite a long process. Sometimes I would be left waiting for days to find out when the next interview would be scheduled, although they were great about making me aware they would be a next step.

Question 1
Why Amazon? Tell me about a time you have to make a decision without your managers input. Tell me about a time you took and risk and it didn’t work out. Tell me about a time you had a conflict with your manager or a peer. Tell me about a time you changed a process that wasn’t working.
