Amazon System Engineer interview questions

I applied for the position through Amazon's website. Several months later I was contacted by a recruiter who coordinated the interview with the actual hiring manager. The process itself was a negative experience, and even from the initial contact with the recruiter, it was made clear that the process would be one-sided in favor of Amazon. One I had the phone interview, it became clear that they were looking for someone with a completely different background than myself. If I had the opportunity to go over the position with the recruiter first, that probably could have been determined beforehand.
