Overall content of interview rounds was ok. First round with Hiring manager. Took ages to get feedback from the first round, 1 month or so. Then a panel with two potential colleagues. Had nice interactions and felt like I answered all questions correctly, they seemed satisfied with my answers as well. After that, one more month to get any feedback from HR. When I finally got ahold of HR, I was told my performance in the interview process was under review, they like me but they were finishing interviewing other people as well, etc. Had to push 3 or 4 times for HR to give me an update (I was also doing other interview processes), even had to reach out to the Hiring Manager via Linkedin. When the HR person finally gave me feedback, I was told the team liked me, but my engineering skills were not good enough (?)
For a company like Apple I felt this was one of the worst interview processes I have ever been through, zero communication, zero details about what would be entailed in each of the rounds, lack of consideration for the candidate's time. I would probably not apply again.
