I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Arm (Cambridge, East of England, England) in Dec 2013
Interview
Enjoyable. I'm not kidding - I actually enjoyed it - not to say that I've had that many interviews (I'd hope if I had I wouldn't be applying for the position 'Intern'!) but the interviewers were the best, most dynamic, working together but still seeming 'off-the-cuff' that I've ever experienced.
I don't totally remember the question, but I was being asked about a GCSE project (on my CV because it related to something else - I may be 'young' but I was still racking my brain to think back that!) and the questions turned to caching and power consumption: which I'm sure I wouldn't have even known to think about at the time I was working on it.
Basically, I came away with the feeling that I'd _learnt_ from it - not "interview technique" or any 'soft-skill' type thing, but the interviewer had subtly and with total ease actually taught me something technical and new, all while conducting an interview.
I was pleased, I thought it had gone well. Then it dawned on me: "Oh no! He _taught_ me something.. he.. _had_ to teach me something because I didn't have a clue what he was asking! _Oh no_!".
But I suppose it must have been okay!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
As far as I recall all questions were based directly on, or spun out of, projects that I had (specified on my CV that I had) worked on.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Arm (Cambridge, East of England, England) in Jun 2015
Interview
I applied through their online system. About a week later, I was invited to a phone interview. The phone interview was just general questions about myself. Then about a month later, I was invited to a face to face interview at their head office. This was an hour long technical interview. The interviewers were very friendly - they didn't have a dead serious face on, which made me calm my nerves. Then about a month later I got the offer.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Arm (Bengaluru) in Aug 2012
Interview
The first was a telephonic interview. Later was called for face to face interview. Had 4 technical rounds and 1 HR round. The main focus areas were around the processor and verification. Along with that had discussions around the technical lead role and prior experience.
