I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (London, England) in Jan 2015
Interview
Start off by sending the application online. You dont need to write an extensive cover letter, but it is advisable to include it amogst the uploaded documents. If you pass the first screening they will invite you to a phone interview. The phone interview consists mostly of general questions like why you want to work there, former experiences and their relevance, and a few general questions abou their company and business model to ensure you understand how they make their money.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg
Interview
I just got through first two rounds of interview - first, telephone interview and then a video conference with two team leaders from Global data department (it was supposed to be an in-house one, but I was not able to come to London any time soon, so they organized a video conference from the local Bloomberg office).
Almost no technical questions - but they really want to know why do you want to work and Bloomberg and how do you understand the role you are applying for.
During the first interview I've got asked some basic questions about financial statements - like could you go through the P&L? And also we discussed some news. It would be helpful to check recent news especially about an asset class you want to work with.
Lots of behavioral questions.
