I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (London, England) in Dec 2019
Interview
I applied online and the next day I got an email to schedule my phone interview. The phone interview lasted about 45 minutes and consisted of 2 problems one of which was a simple problem with a string and the second was to check if a binary tree is a BST.
After that they scheduled for me an on-site interview. The interview consisted of 2 parts. On the first day we had a 1.5 hour long technical interview after getting a tour of the office. Those who qualified came on the next day for a behavioral interview which was easy and surprisingly pleasant. After that I got a systems' design interview( not actual coding just designing a system ) with a senior engineer which was a bit unusual for an internship position.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Create a system that receives hotel bookings of the form [ 5, 10 ] (meaning that someone plans to come on day 5 and leave on day 10) and checks if there is availability.

Interview
First, there is a phone technical assessment with hackerrank. Then, if you do well, you get invited to their office for on-site interviews. There is a technical/coding assessment on the first day there as well as a tour of the office and a demo of the Bloomberg Terminal. If you do well, you get an email to return on the next day for the final interview. In the final interview there are more behavioural and system design questions.
The interview experience is great. They don't compile or run your code. The interviewers are friendly and helpful and the London office is an architecture masterpiece.

What do you expect to get from this internship at Bloomberg?

Interview
The phone-screening phases were very easy.
After that, they invited me on-site, and after the overhead of preparing the travel permits and securing the Visa, they simply mailed me -after I sent them the visa evidence by one day- saying they are closed for internship positions.
Very RUDE!
Design a Subway system, given a continuous feed of entry time and exit time for every passenger, and then calculate some frequencies and data. (Ex. average trip time between every 2 stations)
