Interview
I attended the assessment day at Waterside, I was 30 minutes early (I would recommend being early). We were taken into the room where we show our documents. Then a few of us were called at a time to do the reach tests which took about two minutes. We were then sent back to the waiting area where there were tea/coffee facilities and a vending machine. Then we were called for the group work, 5 of you sit around a table and have around 20 minutes to complete the task. Note the time when you start and keep an eye. Refer to peoples needs e.g. religion/dietary. Let everybody speak, don't leave anybody out, and put your ideas forward. They are not looking for the correct answer, they are looking to see how you work in a team, so make sure you get involved, don't sit back and not say anything, but also don't take over. After this was role play, you are given a sheet of information in which you have two minutes to read, I had to deal with a customer who missed their connecting flight. They also get you to read it out loud to see how clearly you speak. Just remain calm, ensure eye contact, listen to the customer but stick to what is on the sheet. After this we were split into two groups, our group were told that we had passed the first stage. After this within 10/15 minutes I was called into the 2:1 interview, which lasted around 15 minutes. Please don't be scared for the assessment day, I was so nervous but I actually really enjoyed the day, and everybody working at BA was so nice and friendly and put me at ease. I thought it was quite laid back. I was offered the job within 24 hours and accepted straight away.

Interview
Firstly, you had to complete an online application form followed by an online assessment which took roughly 30 minutes to complete - this included numerous competency questions and on each section, if you completed any of the questions with the same answer you would need to put them in order of importance

Question 1
If you are successful with the online application, they will invite you to an assessment day at their Head Office where you will complete a group task and an individual role play (all about customer service) before being selected to continue to the interview process, unfortunately, I didn't make it to the interview
