I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Canva (Sydney) in Aug 2020
Interview
It was a very pleasant process, the company was very helpful to guide me through it. It was also quick, had 3 stages, phone screening, the coding interview, and the values interview.

Interview
I applied online and interviewed with Canva in July 2020.
HR was very friendly and encouraging to communicate. He scheduled the first round for me in the following week. I had my first zoom coding interview with Canva which went very well. The interview experience was excellent and the engineer was able to guide me through his questions.
After that, I waited a week to get the feedback that I have crossed the first round and the final interview rounds were scheduled for me. However, I didn't attend the final rounds as I had offers on hand by that time.
Overall good interview experience. The people are nice. I would say, if you want to be technically prepared, Leetcode medium level problems shd be your area of focus. The questions will be based on what Canva does/ did in the past projects but the underlying approach will come from a medium LC problem. Brush up on DP , HashMaps, Recursions, Arrays etc.

Question 1
LC Medium problems, can't really describe a concrete problem because it will be catered to what Canva engineer worked on / have seen in the past in the company.
Very unprofessional from the HR. After scheduling a call with me, she was unable to contain her laughter upon hearing that I did not have the required work experience in the specified language. She then quickly ended the call after declaring that this would be it since it would be "very hard" for me to pass further interviews.
I can't believe that Canva has HRs of this caliber that would blatantly laugh at a candidate. She has utterly failed in her job of resume screening and treating candidates with respect.
