I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Capital One (McLean, VA)
Interview
Screening interview for a position on their social impact team. Application was originally rejected because I lacked one of the basic qualifications but got to speak to a human being after someone in the company referred me.
The interview process included discussions with multiple people from the targeted team as well as groups with which that team interacted with. There were questions regarding behavioral items as well as some technical questions.

Question 1
Describe a time you faced a confrontation at work and how did you address it?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (New York, NY) in May 2024
Interview
Capital One reached out to me via LinkedIn, and after initial communication with the recruiter, we scheduled a call through their calendar app. Despite setting it up well in advance due to a busy schedule, the recruiter informed me later that he couldn't make it that day and asked for a reschedule, which I accommodated.
On the appointed day, I eagerly awaited the call, only to receive a message stating he couldn't reach me, prompting yet another rescheduling request. This inconsistent behavior feels disrespectful and wasteful. If there's a lack of interest, why initiate contact? If rescheduling is necessary, the effort to connect should be prioritized on their side.
