I first spoke with the recruiter, then hiring manager, afterwards i was sent some hackerrank questions to answer. I then moved to a coding interview with 2 people. The interview question wasn't that difficult. During the coding interview, one of the interviewer wasn't well settled and was trying to find space to do the interview from at the start of the interview. This made me unsettled and i believe impacted the interview process. But in general the recruiter was helpful and the hiring manager seem very nice and progressive.
The interview started with a CodeSignal assessment that included 4 algorithm questions. After passing the CodeSignal test you get to go to Power Day which is 4 interviews. -Technical -Behavioral -System Design -Case Study
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Houston, TX) in Apr 2023
Interview
I applied online. No one contacted me, I just got a link to code signal test. I got 740 in the online test. I thought I failed it, but I got an email to meet tech ambassador. So I figured out that I passed it. I had to find the recruiter, lol. The first power day was canceled last minute because the role was already filled. So, recruiter asked me to apply to another role. Power day, 4 interviews back to back, no break (all interviewers had the same nationality). No diversity was a concern for me. One of them seemed fine, the others were either intimidating or rude. One of them was a woman who closed her camera and muted herself in the middle of the interview. I had read about her in other reviews. So I asked her if there is anything wrong with her internet connection and she had to come back. lol! I thought I did fine and I didn't expect to be rejected, Next day morning, I got the rejection email. Recruiter said that the hiring manger decided to go with another candidate.
