I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Cognizant (Bhopal) in Oct 2014
Interview
First of all let me tell you.
Now coming to cognizant interview experience.
We had CTS recruitment team in C V Raman College of Engineering on 24th and 25th of August. The whole process involved.
1. Written through Merittrac,
2. Technical interview,
3. HR interview.
The written exam for me was not that good because although the paper consisted of only Analytical Reasoning & English the Analytical part was a little time taking. 30 question 30 mins. English was easy, consisted of 2 paragraphs. Both very easy. Was like fill in the blank. 25 questions 30 mins.
Around,715 appeared for written out of which 383 qualified it. And luckily I was one.
Then in Tech interview they just check your approach towards answering & confidence.
The interviewer asked me.
1. To introduce my self.
2. Why my percentage decreased in 12th.
3. Whether I was selected for infosys.
4. Then he asked me to explain normalization in dbms.
5. Using pointer WAP to swap 2 numbers. I couldn't do. It completely correct.
6. So he again asked me to WAP to find the largest among three numbers.
7. Where do I see myself after 4 years?
8. If I have any question for him?
That's all, he wished me all the best and asked me to wait for hr.
Trust me if you are through technical hr is just a formality round, just be confident.
A lady took my HR.
She asked me if I was tired, then asked me about my family and how I performed in my technical. Then she told me to have my dinner and take rest. She signed some relocation forms, and then I got confirmed about my selection.
Finally when the result was out out, I was through cts and wipro.
The interview was primarily technical, concentrating on C#, .NET, SQL, and API concepts. Questions tested understanding of core principles and practical application. The process was straightforward, professional, and focused on technical depth.
I applied online and got a calll back, had 4 rounds in total. first was a behavioral phone call just casual talks about your skills and when can you start working and general questions, then two coding rounds in hackerrank - was asked to code in java although the job was for python and finally HR.
3 rounds of interviews with a technical interview. The technical interview involved questions on Java and sql. They were mildly difficult. The first 2 rounds were not so difficult, lots of situational judgement questions
