Met recruiters through my university's career fair and was then asked to interview through a zoom chat with a Sr. Manager. The employees I interacted with were very kind and made the experience very easy.

Question 1
Tell us a time when you have to collaborate with your teammates to overcome an obstacle?
I applied online. I interviewed at Collins Aerospace
Interview
The interview was conducted via Zoom. I had two separate interviews - first one with a hiring manager and then a second one with a team comprising the hiring manager and a commercial team.
I answered the questions asked very well (it was a mix of technical questions related to contract principles and my job history. However during the latter part of the interview it became clear to me that I was overqualified for the role as some of the questions and requirements seemed simplistic to me. In my current role I handle more complex/technical issues and had more responsibility than the interview role seemed to be requesting, and if I was moving it would be for the additional compensation and to gain experience in a new industry (aerospace).
This was confirmed when the hiring manager who I would be reporting to started asking me questions that seemed like the hiring manager was a bit intimidated by my skills and experience. I got the feeling that I had as much experience as the hiring manager - I had to explain a contractual concept during the interview.
I also got a kind of passive aggressive tone from the commercial guy too. Clear red flags to me that this was not the most inclusive team to join - it seemed like an old boy/girl club. I had made up my mind to turn down the role if offered as I seemed suited to a more senior role.
I received a generic email from them 2 weeks later advising that I had not been chosen to move on to the next stage. I was not surprised, but a personal email from HR would have been a classier choice.
