I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Eaton (State College, PA) in Oct 2014
Interview
I applied for the interview through a university website. The interview was on-campus, my sophomore year. It was my first interview ever, so I was quite nervous. They seemed to have about 20 students interviewing, which the engineer that interviewed me continued to remind me of. The initial interviewer was an HR female, she was quite nice and informative. She was sociable which helped me relax.
The second part of the interview was with an electrical engineer of the company. He was short and didn't seem very interested in the interview. I felt he was not pleased with the things I was saying because he would would just shake his head and move on, which seemed to fluster me. He continued to tell me "whatever happens after the interview keep doing what you're doing and you'll find a great career" which made it obvious to me he was not interested.
Stopped by the Eaton booth at a Campus Career Fair and had a nice conversation with the representative. I applied for a Co-op and was contacted a couple days later to set up an interview. Interview was conducted on-site with an engineer and hr representative.

Interview
I talked to a recruiter at my college career fair and was contacted about 3 weeks later to schedule an interview. It was an on campus interview. The interview was comprised of 2 separate 30 minute interviews, each with the manager of separate plants. This was only my second interview and a little intimidating but both managers were very nice. It mostly consisted of behavioral question to which the STAR method was most useful. Questions were not out of the ordinary but they were recording each answer which was a little nerve wrecking and took some time but they were very patient and were willing to give me adequate time to answer.
