I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Eaton (Wilsonville, OR) in Jan 2021
Interview
In depth interview with several what seemed like all very young managers. Granted, I am now 56 and this was a few years ago, but all 6 of the managers that interviewed me could have been my children. That being said, I brought a great resume and a lot of both life and manufacturing experience to the table and they did not ask me back. Most people have a hard time having someone their parents age as a subordinate, yet not all companies act on this. In fact, some have found much value in hiring older more "life experienced" people if the skillsets are there. They looked to be very organized and well supplied, however it felt like they had a culture issue. That can make hiring a much more tedious process, I get that, however it is wise to not have a future paved, without the stones of experience.
