I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner in Feb 2019
Interview
OMG. This was the biggest waste of my time ever! Interviewed with HR, VP, some other senior person, some rude research analyst, wrote an article analysis, research paper, and a presentation. By the end of this process, I felt it was so much work that I didn't even want this job any longer! Had to come for an interview and meet a few people in person, a few on webex. None of them had expertise in my area or in technology in general. The questions were very weak and they were writing down information as I was giving it away. What a wonderful way to get knowledge for free, my Gartner friends!
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Gartner (Penn State University, PA) in Oct 2017
Interview
Very generic - the interview didn’t ask follow up and seemed to be following a billeted script. He also didn’t do a great job at describing how the role fit into consulting. Gartner clearly has a non-traditional business model
