I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Glassdoor (Chicago, IL) in Dec 2015
Interview
The first step was a phone interview with a recruiter. This was straightforward and the conversation was casual. The recruiter wanted to get an idea of who I was and why I would be a good fit for the role.
The second step was a personality type assessment that I completed online. Overall this wasn't difficult. However, there was some math involved so in hindsight I would have brushed up on my algebra beforehand.
The third step was a skype interview with 2 sales managers. Again, the conversation was casual but the questions had more to do with my experience and how it aligns well with the core duties of the role. Both managers were very friendly so it made for a comfortable interview.
The fourth step was a mock sales pitch. This was easily the most difficult part of the interview because I didn't have a ton of time to prepare and because I was asked to sell Glassdoor. That said, the company was well aware that I didn't know much about the product. They were more interested in my ability to carry a conversation and how well I thought on my feet (threw some curveball questions).
The fifth and final step was an in-person interview with two more sales managers. If you make it this far you are in great shape. I used the final interview as one last chance to sell myself and remind them that I was very interested in the role.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Glassdoor (Chicago, IL) in Dec 2015
Interview
My first phone screening was about 30 minutes and involved fairly typical questions including, job description, my compensation, my background and what to expect at Glassdoor. Two days after that I had a Skype interview that included a 30 minute talk with a rep and then a mid-market manager. The discussion was more conversational which really gave me a good idea of the company culture and honest insight into the role. After that I moved on to a sales pitch where I presented the Glassdoor product. All I can say is that if you know someone who works here, you should consult them before the presentation because there are specific buzz words they are looking for. The final interview was in person and lasted about 2 hours in total. I met with 2 mid-market managers and the director of sales and the trend of comfortable conversations continued which really gave me a good feeling about the opportunity. Everyone had great energy and made me really excited about the role. 5 days after the in-person interview I was presented with an offer.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Glassdoor (Larkspur, CA) in Jan 2016
Interview
1. First call very informal, made sure knew had to talk and explain my experience briefly.
2. Second call was with my to-be manager, bit more in-depth, but similar to first call.
3. Had to do sales pitch via clearslide with a video of me. They could see me but I couldn't see them. A senior account executive was also present alongside my manager.
4. Had final call with head of a department and was tougher. Even more in depth and tougher.
Had 2 contacts: a recruiter and a scheduler, both were very good with communication and organisation.
