I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Glassdoor in Jan 2015
Interview
The interview process was really relaxed for this position. I initially interviewed with Julie Brown, which went really well. She's very easy to talk to, and my conversations with her felt more like chatting with a friend than trying out for a job. I was referred as an intern for Glassdoor, and Julie helped me figure out which area would work best with my interests and background. It was obvious throughout the process that she genuinely cared about whether I would fit in at Glassdoor, and about matching my personal interests and career goals. Julie went on to become my supervisor, and without her I would be graduating this December '15 not having any idea what to do next.
I also interviewed with Marcus DuBois, and he asked me more hard-hitting questions about my own ideas for their social media accounts, which I would later help run. I had already been following most of their accounts, which probably saved me in that interview. Overall, the recruiting team seemed extremely professional. They always got back to me promptly, and the whole interview-to-offer experience probably took a month. I knew by February that I would be starting at Glassdoor in June.

Question 1
Just make sure you do a lot of research on the company beforehand--know what their products are, and their target. It might be helpful to get a basic understanding of the breakdown of the company when asking your own questions about who you'll work with and who your boss will be.
Applied online via glassdoor and then was contacted by a recruiter to set up a call. Did call with the recruiter in early Sept, she said she would get back to me the following week to give a yes or no if I made the hiring manager call round. After following up with her several times it is clear that I didn't make the next round but it would have been nice to get at least a form email from her saying so. For a site that relies on users to provide it free content that it can then use to draw in job seekers / job advertisers its recruiting team is polluting the brand. This will be the last piece of free content I contribute.
Thank you for your review. My sincerest apologies for not getting back to you. I try my best to follow up with everyone in a timely manner, but it doesn't always happen the way I would like. I really value your feedback and will take it into serious consideration. Thank you again for contributing to our site.
