How do you define diversity? What does it mean to you?

They actually ask both your definition of "diversity" AND whether you believe it's important in the work place. A good answer would define the word (as the question asks) and state whether it's important in the work place. Either way, explain why you think so. A good answer goes something like this: In a word - diversity is "difference". It can be differences in the kind of music people listen to, the clothes they wear, what they believe in, and race. Diversity is definitely important in the workplace. Diversity in the workplace leads to a better understanding of the diverse market it serves. This is especially true in a place like Hollister because customers of all backgrounds, with whatever differences, should feel welcome.
