I applied online. I interviewed at Indeed (New York, NY) in Aug 2015
Interview
Phone conversation was set up after initial application. The interaction over the phone was very transactional, like the interviewer was required to achieve a call quota for HR. I could hear my answers being furiously typed out, and the interviewer had no real reaction or conversation to contribute. They talked a million miles a minute and a call that was scheduled to last 30 minutes was over in 10. For a place that asks for a "cool sense of humor" in its job descriptions, this interview was the least cool and the least humorous, and made me rethink my interest in the company.

Question 1
Where are you in the job search? What else are you looking at?
I applied online. I interviewed at Indeed (Singapur) in Feb 2026
Interview
The recruiter was based in Bangalore, India. At the start of the interview, he read through the job scope directly from his screen. He spoke very fast with a strong accent, which made it difficult for me to fully understand. After reviewing the role, he asked questions related to the sales process, motivation, strengths, sales targets, handling difficult customers, availability, and salary expectations. I asked for clarification more than once and answered the questions based on my understanding. The interview felt very transactional, with limited interaction beyond the scripted questions.
Just some feedback, I feel I would have been able to respond more effectively if the questions were shorter and more direct. Some of the questions were quite lengthy. I have no issue with different accents, but speaking slower and clearer pace of speech would have improved comprehension.

Interview
Fast paced but thorough. Was able to finish the process within 3-4 weeks. Fully remote and interviewed with several directors. The process felt personable and the directors took time to make sure that it was a good fit for me as well.

Question 1
What was something challenging you have overcome recently?
Just a phone screen. It was clear the recruiter didn't fully read/misread my resume when she got on the call as I could hear her having her "oh oops" moment. Haven't heard since. At least she was candid that they don't promise any feedback or communication as a policy.
