I applied online. I interviewed at Lidl (Falmouth, England) in Feb 2022
Interview
- application form
- situational based assessment test
- telephone interview
- face to face interview
it was pretty fine as long as you do your thorough research into Lidl and demonstrate why you are the best person for the job
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
a couple of questions
- tell me about yourself
- what do you know about Lidl
- why would you like to work for Lidl
- tell me a time when you've worked in a fast-paced environment and how did you manage it
- tell me a time where you have had to go over and beyond for previous jobs you've had
- what is your favourite product at Lidl
Very straightforward process.
One person interviewed me and asked a few questions.
Did not last more than an hour, if that.
I had one interview and then an offer was made.
Phone interview and then in person interview. Pretty quick and easy and doesn’t take long to hear back. Questions are pretty standard like ‘why Lidl?’ and ‘what’s your favourite item we sell’. Also a few scenario based questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Lidl (Cardiff, Wales) in Jan 2026
Interview
Really nice manager and chill atmosphere. Didn't ask me any scenario based questions or any that I had to provide a "star" like paragraph; more focused on how prepared/ committed/ able you are to do a lot of work.
