I applied online. I interviewed at Medtronic in Sep 2019
Interview
Talked about the role, my background, and specific projects I had worked on up to that point. I was asked to answer the questions by providing specific examples. The interviewers expressed interest and were pleasant to talk to.
I applied online. I interviewed at Medtronic (Minneapolis, MN) in Dec 2020
Interview
Interview was a little bit crazy with all the zoom meetings. 2 out of 4 interviewers did not show up to the zoom meeting. Those interviews were posponed between 1 to 3 weeks. 3 out of 4 interviewers were very "free" interviewers in terms that they did not follow any "question manuals", so the interviews felt very personals. The other one was more "by the book" interviewer with questions found it on a HR Book.
It was very normal - it depends on the interviewers and/or the team that you are interviewing for (which is unknown at the time of applying). There were some interviewers that didn't seem to know the job responsibilities or outlook well. Standard interview process, it just felt like you have to luck out.
