I applied online. I interviewed at Meraki (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
I was contacted by a recruited after submitting application online. Had two 30-45 min phone interviews then one in person interview. The in person interview was with 4 people and lasted about 4 hours.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Meraki (San Francisco, CA) in May 2016
Interview
3 step process.
1. 20-30 minute phone call with a recruiter. It's a basic call to get to know you, plans for the future, interest in the position, and learn about Meraki and what they do.
2, 30 minute phone call with the hiring manager. Questions about you, your work background/resume, and situational questions.
3. 2 hour onsite interview. My interview was with 4 people (two managers, team lead, and director) for 30 minutes each. The interviews were a mix of getting to know you, your skills, background, situational and behavioral questions. All questions were fair and nothing unexpected was asked.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Meraki (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2013
Interview
Wined and dined us through the whole thing. Flew us in the night before and put us up in a nice hotel downtown to make sure we were well rested. Hospitality was excellent through the whole process - I was offered snacks and drinks, they let me stop to play the office piano (a baby grand), and we were nicely fed. Even took us to a local brewery for drinks afterwards. The next day we headed to the roof of the building where we were able to overlook all of SF, and we were taken on a trolley tour of the city. Several technical interviews on day 1 followed by an interview with one of the three founders for a personality/culture fit on day 2. Overall one of the best interview experiences I've ever had. Ultimately I accepted a different offer but still use the Meraki interview experience as the gold standard when contributing to the recruiting process at my current employer.
