I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Meta in Mar 2022
Interview
Awesome, met some really great people! Had an initial phone call with the recruiter, full loop round with 6 different team members, I heard back fairly quickly, recruiter actually gave feedback which is rare. No conplaints!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked a lot of questions around data driven processes
Started with Screening call Both - Product execution, Product sense interviews. Behavioral interview. Another Product sense interview was when they could not decide if to continue. Haven't got an offer
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 7 months. I interviewed at Meta (San Francisco, CA) in May 2022
Interview
Took a total of 7 months and still no official reply. Countless interviews that required hours of preparation, but no real closure on the process. Kept extending the finish line even after completing virtual on-sites. The team really didn't have any of their process put together. It would take them 3 weeks simply to schedule me. Additionally, all of the extra help they offered was in vain. Multiple times, peers who were supposed to coach me through the interview process didn't show up to a meeting I had gone out of my way to schedule three weeks in advance. I think by far the most disorganized and unbalanced interview process. They expect they candidate to be 100% but are fine if their process and performance is sub par. The worst part is they didn't even close out the interview by officially rejecting or extending an offer. They simply kept me in limbo for 7 months until I decided to withdraw. Also, when I first started interviewing I mentioned that I was flexible to move quickly in the process and asked upfront if headcount would determine how quickly they hire. Their response was that they would not be affected by any headcount decisions and didn't foresee any coming. Low and behold 8 months later and after I've withdrawn my candidacy, Meta was cutting headcount.
