I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Moody's (West Chester, PA) in Nov 2014
Interview
Met with 8 people to discuss my background although it was originally scheduled to be 14 people so expect a long day. Mainly Senior Directors and the like. The questions weren't difficult and they were fairly friendly group. followed by a writing sample test where you are given an hour to analyze a set of regional data.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The writing sample. They say they want to see your ability to tell a story from the limited data you are given. They expect 350-500 words.
First interview, phone call, basic questions on experience and wants. Now moving onto first video interview. Not much information on what the interview is specifically on. HR call on the phone standard type as with most jobs of this type, not trying to catch you out, only trying to get a gauge on you.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Moody's in Aug 2023
Interview
The entire process took about two months. About two weeks after I applied I received an email from a recruiter to set up an HR screen, which was set up for the following week. The HR screen was pretty normal, about 20 minutes or so about asking your general interests in the position and related topics. I was then asked to submit personal writing samples related to Economics. Over two weeks pass and I receive a notification from the job portal telling me to fill out more information about myself and then received a email from a different recruiter later that day to schedule an interview with two economists for the following week. First interview went well lasted about an hour and was on zoom. They asked relatively straightforward questions related to the economy and to your personality. The following day after the first interview I received a call from the original recruiter to schedule a second interview with two different economists for later that week. The second interview was practically the same interview as the first, just with a little bit different questions. Was told that would be my final interview. Fast forward another two weeks and I look at my status in the job portal and it says “Application Unsuccessful” and I would not be moving forward, which is fine, but I have read other review for Moodys on here saying similar things that they don’t receive notifications or emails when they are not selected, which in my opinion is a bad practice, also this was a very long process for an entry level job.
