The hiring process what pretty standard. The hiring committee was equally as interested in me as a person and how I would integrate into the existing team as my technical skills. I only had to do one interview in person.

Question 1
Describe a recient challenge you faced and how you overcame it
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2016
Interview
Brief phone interview asking about personal projects, with a few technical questions at the end. Started with some icebreaker-type questions; what is your favorite programming language, what experiences do you have, etc. Transitioned to some technical questions, and then ended with a long speech about the benefits and positive things about working for Northrop Grumman.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Redondo Beach, CA) in Jun 2016
Interview
Recruiter contacted me. Set up an interview with 3 team members. One was the team manager while the other two were team members. One-on-one interviews with all 3, about 30 minutes in length for each. 2 to 3 technical questions for each, the rest were questions about resume/classes/past projects and experiences.
