I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman
Interview
I was interviewed by two people. I basically talked about the experiences on my resume. I got a call about an offer, but they low-balled me about $20K lower than my current salary. Other companies were able to offer me about $10K to $15K more than my current salary. I kindly declined the offer. I suggest salary increases for potential employees. Software engineers in this area are highly sought after and other companies will most likely offer higher salaries.
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (San Diego, CA) in Apr 2015
Interview
initial phone interview leading into an in person interview with a 5 person panel. I had to do a background check as well as complete a drug test so be prepared for all that.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Sacramento, CA)
Interview
Met with three two managers and two software engineers. Really pleasant experience, they were mostly interested about my experiences in undergrad, and the courses I took. Asked a few technical questions that were out of the scope of my education such as the software life cycle, but I prepared for these questions ahead of time and nailed them.
