Horrible Experience. Stay away from interviews of such companies. They will call you , shortlist you for 2nd round and tell that they will call next week. They will not call you back and suddenly revert saying the position is closed.Better utilize the precious time in some other important work.
They clearly said congrats you are shortlisted for 2nd round and it will happen next week.
How can they back out after shortlisting you?
Think 100 times before joining this unprofessional company.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PwC in Aug 2014
Interview
Applied through employee referral and filled out my profile online. Was contacted by HR Manager to set up a phone interview discussing background, the role itself, salary, etc. If that is up to par or in line with what they are looking for, the HR Manager will send your resume forward to the team members who are in charge of the interviewing and hiring (typically managers and senior managers).
I was checking my status through the online portal throughout the process and about a week after my phone interview my status had changed to "interview requested". The HR contact I've been dealing with called to schedule a time to come into the office and interview with the team.
I knew they were trying to fill the position quickly and it helped to have multiple contacts within the company, so they let me know that it should be quick turnaround in the decision making and I heard their decision 2 days after my in-office interview. The longest part of the process is usually between initial application - phone interview - in-office interview. After that, they are quick in letting you know their decision.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Know your resume inside and out. They come in with prepared questions based on their notes on your resume. If they brought you in for an interview, they like your skills; just be personable and present yourself as a team player and someone they can see themselves working with on a daily basis.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at PwC (New York, NY) in Jul 2014
Interview
I applied online and the process took 1 week - interviewed at PwC in July 2014.
Their HR will send an email for you to finish. Those questions are easy. It is about your aptitude, work ethnic and common sense. If they like your application, they will have a phone interview. The phone interview is straightforward. Pass it, and then you get to meet interview with the branch manager.
Also before hand check how do you stand with aptitude, logical and verbal reasoning tests, there are a lot of products in the market for this. I did use 'the ultimate career interview' app from the app store its worthy.
