I applied through college or university. I interviewed at RTX
Interview
I initially applied for the job via campus recruiting and had an on-campus interview. Mostly behavioral questions, only talked briefly about programming concepts. Raytheon flew me down for a hiring event in Tucson (180 or so candidates, mix of intern and full-time) 6 weeks later. They put on quite a show, putting us up in a Marriott resort and doing a big on-site tour. There was potential for up to 5 interviews on Friday morning, and they allowed us to wine and dine with employers the night before (and get more interviews if we wanted). I just had one interview with a panel of three people - pretty comfortable, allowed me to lead in directing the conversation mostly. Got an offer that night.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at RTX (Tucson, AZ) in Nov 2012
Interview
The hiring event was a two day event which included a luncheon and plant tour, reception and dinner with a chance to mingle with current managers followed by a breakfast/benefits meeting before an hour long interview. Each interview had two or three hiring managers. There were a total of 160 candidates applying in many different departments, many of whom had multiple interviews.
