I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Synopsys (Calgary, AB) in Jul 2019
Interview
Applied on their company website, an HR recruiter named Sheela attempted to schedule a phone interview twice with me but failed to contact me on either occasions, and then on the next Monday after the second supposed phone interview schedule I get a call randomly from her in the morning, asked me some general questions, sent me a test on codeability to complete. After I've completed that I get a call from the hiring manager in Calgary on Friday that week. Walked through the test together and said they were going to contact me the next week regarding whether or not to hire, received no contact next week.

Question 1
Are you familiar with writing safe and secure web code?
I had a brief phone interview and was asked to do a programming assignment afterwards. The assignment itself was fairly straightforward but quite lengthy. I spent ~5-6 hours on it and sent it to the recruiter.
I got an email back saying that it would be looked at in the next few days and then never heard anything from Synopsys again. I sent multiple follow up emails to the recruiter and they all appear to have been completely ignored.
If I’m asked to spend a significant chunk of time on working on an assignment then I’d expect to at least hear back from the company at some point instead of getting ghosted.
