I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Tesla
Interview
10 step process: phone screen, technical, 48 hour take-home, technical, then virtual on-site. On-site requires preparing slides for a 30 minute presentation, followed by 5 back to back interviews most of which are technical. The whole process took over 4 months. In the end, I was never given a decision as the recruiters decided to ghost me after the final round. Don't waste your time, apply elsewhere.
First had a phone screen with a technical recruiter. After that, I had a 45-minute video call with the Hiring Manager. I did not make it to the next step.

Question 1
Q: What ideas do you have for how we can use all the data we collect from our electric cars?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Tesla (Berlin) in Feb 2022
Interview
The interview process consisted of the following stages:
1) screening with HR
2) coding task
3) 2 technical interview with presentation
Technical interview were fairly challenging but I enjoyed the process. Questions about statistics, data science, your experience, some behavioural questions, system design.
The only minus is that there was no really a chance to meet the team.
The hiring process was a disaster. First of all, HR (located in the same timezone) answers the emails super late after hours which is already a huge red flag for me. After the final interview I had to wait more than a month for the final decision. Due to the other pending offers I reminded of my existence a couple of times and was promised to get an answer soon with a hint that they have a positive feedback. In the end got not even a personalised email from HR but a rejection email template which completely ruined the impression of the company.
