Calmly apologize for their troubles and continue to offer them a solution. Don't argue with the customer as this will contribute to escalate the situation to a more harm full problem.

Tell them you are there to help and quickly usher them to a computer to look up their problem, or view their issue, whether phone or question. You want to make sure you get them away from other customers. You do not want to give new customers any thoughts that they could be in the same predicament.
