I applied online. I interviewed at U.S. Department of State
Interview
They cold called me in the middle of the day. They needed to move fast so only gave about 2 days to decide to accept or decline. Told me a bit about the office and the mission and then asked general, simple questions.

Question 1
What are you interests? How do you think they align with our mission?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at U.S. Department of State (Washington, DC) in Nov 2018
Interview
I received a phone call sort of out of the blue (I had to rush out of class to answer). I spoke with an intern and a senior level Foreign Service Officer about my experience and why I wanted to work there. Scheduled a call for the next week for a second round (I believe, I may have done this all in one call). Got an informal offer at the end of the last call for the position. Received an official offer for the position in December, then began the security process in January. Did not receive my clearance until late-May.
