The process took 5 days. I interviewed at UBS (Weehawken, NJ) in Jan 2011
Interview
Applied online and was contacted by the recruiter/HR department. I was very impressed with the recruiting process, as they were very 'upfront' and worked with me through the process.
Easy ferry ride (but expensive) from Midtown.
Met with the HR people as well as 2 people from the business unit. No curve balls, they were truly interested in finding someone that fit in with the culture, had the background they were looking for, and would mesh with the other people in the department.
It's important to be prepared before you walk in the door, to know about the company and why you would think that you would be a good fit. There are plenty of resources available on the company website to make this task easy.
People were approachable and easy to talk to. It would have been nice if they made me an offer, it seemed like it would be a good group to work with.
Overall good experience. Hopefully, I will get the chance to interview there again.
Process is fine and no real surprises. Interviewers weren’t personable so hard to build rapport but all in all manageable. For a senior role, interview questions were strange as related to scenario based outcomes for a junior role
Structured and professional. Multiple rounds of interviews with different team members and concluded with an HR round. Smooth and pleasant interview process that spanned across 2 months. Coordinators are communicative.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at UBS (London, England) in Sep 2022
Interview
HR reached out asking for my current salary which I don't tend to give out as there is a salary range for each role advertised. I asked for the salary range which I was told was confidential to UBS but they wanted to know the salary other company paid.
I gave a range of my expectation and they proceeded with the interview. On the day of the interview, I met with 2 people, one who was struggling with connection at his home, the line was so bad he must have dropped out about 3 to 4 times. It was not a pleasant experience at all.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interview session was centred around my CV, my experience and background. All though they said it was competency based, it did not feel like that at all.
