I went to a recruiter's office. They signed me up and gave me list of jobs to choose. I chose Aerospace Propulsion. They sent me to necessary appointments and filled necessary paperwork. I left for Basic Military Training.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at US Air Force (Pittsburgh, PA) in Jan 2009
Interview
The interview process for the United States Air Force is more rigorous than a most branches. The Air Force has a reputation of providing a better environment for their soldiers than the other branches; thus, they can afford to be picky. If you are thinking of enlisting you must prepare for the ASVAB exam as minimum scores are required for entrance and will determine what career fields will be open to you. The background check is extensive and you will have to answer for all prior offenses.

Question 1
The entire process is rather straight forward and can be located at any of the military locations. For certain career fields you will need to pass certain additional physical examinations such as; depth perception, color vision, and vision.
