Interview
Applied on line; day after closing date I was called for interview. "One on one" with personnel manager and replenishment manager in comfy chairs - no desk between us! No group session. Fairly informal, mixture of PM's questions and some mandated by Head Office. Felt more like a chat than an interview. Enjoyable experience!

Interview
The interview was around an hour long. In the first half an hour I did a group assessment with 2 other people, both the people I was with had already worked in waitrose before so it was a bit difficult. Always try and speak up so that you can be assessed, but don't try and be that person who tries too hard and does all the speaking because it isn't really fair and they're trying to see how well you work as a team. After this I had an individual interview and the questions were very easy, just general questions about things I had done already.

Interview
Group interview of about 15 people, short introduction of yourself and interests as an ice breaker. Then onto a problem solving task where we had to un shuffle letters to make a word. Then a short one on one session at the end where we could talk about more of the specifics of areas we wanted to specialise in...dry goods, bakery, deli etc. Overall a fun interview but definitely filters out candidates that aren't totally customer focused.
