Group interview, presentation, single interview. Was not too difficult, interviewer was friendly and made everyone feel comfortable. Tested my listening skills and ability to pay attention by listening to another employee talk about themselves and then report back to the group.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Waitrose (Ipswich, England) in Feb 2016
Interview
In-person interview began with a group task, about 6 other candidates, with 4 managers in the room with us! All candidates sat around a table and we had to discuss with each other a variety of (fairly easy) questions, and then sum up our questions on a large piece of paper (to be reviewed by the managers later). Key is to make sure you're friendly with all other candidates so you're engaging with the questions and showing initiative the but not dominating.
After that you're taken off into a separate room with one of the managers for a one on one chat. Fairly standard interview questions, they will go over your CV, your personal interests and your knowledge of the company and role.
Overall a good experience, and friendly interviewers.

Interview
I applied for the role and 5 days later I got an email saying I have a group assessment. I was so excited. I arrived about half an hour earlier, not intentional, and only me and a nice girl was there. So is ended up being a one on one interview not a group assessment, which I didn't mind at all. The interview was very informal/formal, the interview made you feel very comfortable. It was about 10/15 minutes and that was it. 1 week and 2 days later I got a phone call saying I got an offer. I should start some time next week and I am so happy to start working for Waitrose xx
