I applied online for a few locations. About a week later, I received a call from a store. I missed the call and they never even left a voicemail. I called THEM back immediately, so that they could schedule an interview.
Within a couple days, I showed up for my interview at night. It took about 15 minutes just to wait for the manager. Things seemed disorganized and the employees seemed unhappy.
The interview involved two managers.
I had an interview with one of the assistant managers who was funny and friendly. The questions were long and typical behavioral questions, and I thought it went pretty well. The manager "graded" the answers, which ultimately impacted my chances on landing the job. Most of my answers were above expectations.
The second interview involved most of the same questions, but it was longer. The woman just stared when I answered the questions with no emotional response and seemed unhappy. She scored my answers mostly as satisfactory. I was kind of feeling down by the end of it because I was unsure if I got the job based on her reactions. She also told me the pay rate, which was lower than it actually was due to my department paying higher. She told me it would be FT and the hours, and that if I got the position, it would be overnight.
I also submitted a background check.
I was called within a couple days and sometime before my orientation I took a drug test. Make sure you arrive early in the morning before anyone else like I did, so that you're not waiting for hours on end.
Not too long afterwards, I received a call from HR personnel for orientation.
