I simply used my ability to connect something of Microsoft to some of my personal experiences. One of the big things for me was going to Microsoft's website and seeing their core values. I made a connection with two of them, first being Innovation and how I introduced a project idea involving deep learning to my professor. Second, was diversity and how I have worked with a diverse group especially since I was an active duty Marine. You don't need to be a veteran but if you can find a way to connect something about Microsoft, you're golden! I finished answering the question by telling the interviewer about my recent PC build and how Microsoft was the OS I installed given that I've worked with it for years. I finished the answer with "I know my skillset will be an asset to Microsoft."
