Basic RC circuit questions Frequency response, low pass filters
Most of the questions were technical with objective answers. This is expected for an engineering position and they were all fairly straight forward. The most difficult portion of the interview was the open ended scenario based questions. Basically, this gives the employer a chance to see how effective your problem solving skills are. What really makes this difficult is that there is no "right" answer but there are a lot of "wrong" answers. In short, be prepared to think about the questions asked; memorizing trivia will not help.
Mostly from analog basics. Nothing was most unexpected.
The fourier transform of a square signal, questions also on Opamps and transmission line theory.
Basic Analog questions, Depth on projects where we worked
Digital: gate-level combinational logic to realize various functions, timing analysis for sequential logic, various fan-out loading questions (I don't remember too many details about this line of questioning, sorry) Analog: standard circuit design questions including: transistor equations, single transistor amplifiers, current mirrors, cascoding, diff-pairs, op-amps, analog layout pitfalls, and basic process-related concepts (parasitics, body effect, threshold voltage trick questions, etc).
A question upon my project went into the details of what kind of op-amp being used in the amplifier and how the performance is achieved
