They asked a lot of questions about my perspective on indigenous culture and ways of being and its role within holistic treatment. They asked about my understanding of harm reduction and my understanding of trauma-informed work and plenty of questions about what I would do and specific scenarios that may occur on the job when working with clients, which gave me a really good idea of what to expect had I accepted the job. Some people who may have a hard time on the spot articulating themselves may have difficulty answering questions like this because a lot of them are incredibly multifaceted and nuanced, and sometimes it's hard to find the right words quickly. But on the other hand, I'm an extrovert who enjoys talking and I really just treated it very conversational because I didn't feel pressure while being interviewed. I was just honest and answered the questions. How I would answer if a friend or family member or colleague ask for my take on these issues and they seemed really receptive to that type of conversational, honest and open-minded way of answering questions. So if I could recommend anything it's just be honest. Share what's in your heart, be genuine and be there for the right reasons.
