IELTS style questions could have been answered with something like: Alarm, or NHS internal procedures which you have to had worked to know about. The actual answers could be the NHS internal procedures, which you typically need prior experience to understand.
He had computer paper and a marker and wanted me to answer basically what would be multi-part questions from my final exams (VERY in-depth graphs, circuit configurations, the associated equations, and graphs from a wide range of subjects) without a calculator, a computer, or any of the tools I was trained to use as an engineer.
