(The standard), plus: Why this career move? Why now? What questions do you have? One of my big questions was "How do you respond to the negative feedback on Glassdoor," particularly in regard to benefits and salaries?" and "Name some changes which have been implemented since the new CEO took over." -- she responded that there were disgruntled employees who lost their jobs when they couldn't justify their contribution to the company during a fat-trimming, cut-back session...needless to say, I was skeptical about moving forward. She couldn't name any specific changes (the reviews say employees are encouraged to rave about the changes). To the benefits question, which was "In this every changing benefits market, what is Valence doing to help its employees stay current and to grow?" Her response was that there was no program to cover tuition and OTJ cross-training was encouraged but at the managers' discretion. She said, those who fail to keep up with the industry and their clients will quickly become obsolete.
