Nothing unexpected, fairly straightforward and basic questions. Kind and helpful approach by HR.

Who do you know in international financial institutions 2) Do you have analytical skills and can you use excel 3) tell me about your career to date 4) What are you salary expectations 5) When can you begin I was contacted by the company after applying an interviewed for a management consulting position in 2016. After a lengthy period had passed following my conversation with the hiring manager, I did not hear from the company for a couple of months. Only after I contacted them a couple of months later did I receive a rejection letter and a refusal to provide feedback by the HR manager. Subsequently the hiring manager reached out to me several months later and we had 3-4 follow up telephone conversations with the him where he grilled me about what and who I know. He agreed to take me on board preliminary after a temporary project. Following that conversation the hiring manager never contacted me again and did not respond to a follow up email. Very strange hiring process that is necessarily lengthy and lack structure.
