We first talked about the blotto problem. Then did a classic probability question, with Markov chains. Had to make realisation about each step being independent and then turn part of the question into a geometric sum. He led me through quite smoothly.
You bet on a number of die rolls to finish the game board. You play against 2 bots who trade with you. One is smart and knows the next roll and a dumb bot who does whatever you do.
How much would you pay to play this game?
Game on betting on dice and expected value
It was a probability, expected value game where I had to optimise to maximise profits.
Jim rolls a fair, 6-sided die until he gets a 4. What is the expected value of the highest number he rolls through this process
1st round asked questions in game theory and expected mean.
Tell me a time that you had met a challenge.
All of the questions were in some sense probability related of the "you have a deck of cards, what's the probability to get four kings" type, but always a bit twisted. They kept asking me for an exact percentage of my confidence in my answer, which I found very hard.
